RSES Announces Articulation Agreement with HVAC U, LLC

Schaumburg, Ill. (July 26, 2023) – RSES is pleased to announce an articulation agreement with Southfield, MI-based HVAC U, LLC, a State of Michigan approved post-secondary training organization offering training in HVACR; Power Engineering Technology; Electricity; Electrical Technology; Residential Building Science and Analytics; Commercial Building Science and Analytics; Energy Auditing; and Facilities Management Operations. HVAC U’s purpose and mission is to deliver the necessary technical training to improve competency and capacity for individuals employed in the skilled trades. This agreement establishes a mechanism for working technicians completing RSES training courses to earn credit at HVAC U, which will grant credits for successful completion of specified RSES training courses toward a Certificate of Achievement from its Technician Program. The agreement is reciprocal in that RSES Members who have completed RSES courses may also receive a certificate from HVAC U.
“This Articulation agreement will allow RSES members to gain more for their membership dollars,” says Brynn C. Cooksey Sr., CEM, CMS, RCT, CESCP, Training Director of HVAC U, LLC. “RSES technicians are regarded as some of the best in the industry, and a certificate from HVAC U will allow them to verify their commitment to training and education."
The finalized agreement allows individuals who have completed specified RSES training courses the ability to transfer those earned credits toward HVAC U, LLC coursework, including: - OSHA 10—Safety
- Basic Electricity
- Hydronic Heating
- Air Conditioning Tech
- Refrigeration Tech
- Heating Tech
- Building Sciences/BPI
