Overview of Safety Course

"Safety Is Job One" is more than a slogan—it’s an everyday work practice that must be kept in mind and followed by everyone in the HVACR industry—from the owner of the business all the way down to the newest apprentice on the job.

Accidents on the job site can result in injury, death, and considerable expense in the form of lost time, property damage, medical costs—and, in some instances, large fines for the business owner. Employers must ensure that a safety program is in place and that every employee receives safety training. For all of these reasons, technicians employed in the HVACR industry must observe proper safety precautions in order to protect themselves, their fellow workers, their customers, and others who may be occupying the job site.

This safety manual addresses common safety issues HVACR technicians encounter in the field, such as electrical safety, tools and instruments, refrigerant handling, ladders, lifting and more.
